Talking Tech
At Casino West we provide an amazing opportunity for our students to engage with technology. We have a 1:1 ratio of devices for students to use and offer great programs such as Reading Eggs, Typing Club, Inquisitive, Studdyladder and Maths Seeds. In the classroom students can access robot mice, Dash robots and B-bots to engage and facilitate their learning. For interested students they can join Coding Club or the Robotics Club.
Throughout the year students participate in great events such as the Bebrus Challenge, The Hour of Code, E safety Day, Scratch, Moonhack and the Northern Rivers Science and Engineering Challenge.
This year students in primary are also doing four Jo Moss Film Making incursions that will involve them creating movie trailers, TV commercials, news reports and podcasts.
